Evidently Sheetz and Kangaroo think Highway 58 is an interstate. That's the only reason I can come up with for them to be 10 cents a gallon higher than Centerville!

I hate that! Riverdale is the most convenient place for me to buy gas... but I end up driving to Centerville when I don't really need to.

I go to Riverdale. I figure I'm not saving by driving all the way to Centerville - I'm rarely in Centerville, but in Riverdale all the time. I try to wait to get gas until I go to Danville. Sam's has gas for .20 less the South Boston! You have to be a member, though.

We buy at Sam's whenever we're in Danville, too.

My how things change. When Sheetz first opened every station in the county were tracking their price changes.

Sometimes, the BP on Seemoe has same prices as Centerville.

Thanks. I'll have to start going by there instead.

All this talk about gas prices makes me really, really, really miss Dude Perkins. For those of you who don't know, Dude hung around at the shop almost everyday for years. He passed away in September last year, and I miss my friend every day. But certain things make his absence more prevalent and gas prices is one of those things. He had a memory like an elephant and he would take a mental note of the gas prices as he drove around town. On any given day he could tell you where the cheapest gas could be found.

I miss you, Dude!

I immediately thought of him when I walked in your shop the other day and missed seeing him.

I knew Dude. Dude was a great man. He and his assumed wife ate breakfast at Hardees almost every morning. County Ham Biscuit, one pack of Mustard, and Coffee.

Never missed a beat.

You can google, gas prices, then when it comes up, enter your zip code, and it will list stations and prices.
I don't know how accurate it can be, as gas prices sometimes change 2 or 3 times a day.
Buying gas these days is like buying stock. Should I fill up, because I'm afraid prices are going up? Should I only get $20, because prices might go down? Life ain't easy Evil or Very Mad .

I'm with ya on that OT. They need to outlaw electronic pumps and signs. If folks had to get out in the weather and change prices like they did in the past then I don't think you would see all these price changes. I remember Pop would go around and change prices about once a month, sometimes it got to be a weekly thing. Now it appears to be an hourly thing.

As for price checking, use AAA's site: http://aaa.opisnet.com/index.aspx . You'll get the time/date the price was recorded.
