They will be announced momentarily. I'm excited. What do we think should win?

Monique - Best Supporting Actress

George Clooney - Best Actor for Up in the Air

Is the Hurt Locker or Avatar going to win for Best Director?

Best Picture? Avatar, Blind Side, Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, Precious, Up in the Air and 5 others...

Best Animated Feature - Lots of great films including Up and The Princess and the Frog.

Just my opinion :

Avatar : good movie

The Hurt Locker : Great movie and it's based upon real life events unlike Avatar.

I guess we're the only movie nuts in the house....

I'm excited to see how the Oscars will play out this year. Instead of only choosing arty and indy films, they academy seems to have chosen some crowd favorites as well. I think they are trying to widen their appeal and accessibility as an organization and event. I will say also that the wider appeal movies they nominated deserve it.

Also, I cannot wait to see The Blind Side. I hate sports, but a good story transcends such things.

The Blind Side is playing at World of Sports, or at least it has been for the past week. I forgot to look this morning.

I love movies, but I don't go to the theatre very often. So, i don't see a movie until it's out on DVD.

It looks like there are some great movies out there. I want to see Blind Side and Up in the Air.

How come most of the Oscar nominations go to movies I have no interest in seeing?

Does a warped sense of humor mean the same thing?
