Cool, CD! That "bag" scene from American Beauty was really great...I had forgotten about it, and the music was perfect for that.

I was browsing on YouTube and apparently this same composer had done pieces for The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, both of which had some very moving moments as well.

Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile...two good movies, and the written versions were great. Don't know why, but not much that Stephen King has written since then could measure up to his earlier stuff. I chalk it up to that accident with the hit-and-run driver.

Heard one on XM Radio on the way home today:

Glenn Miller & The Modernaires (?) performance of "Perfidia"

I think I must've lived in the 1930's - 1940's in a previous life... Smile

Know what you mean about the old ones...I've always liked "Delicado", by Percy Faith. Makes me want to clench a rose in my teeth and rumba til the cows come home.

Wow... Didn't know this thread existed.... Forgive me in advance, but I am a big music fan, and I expect to have several on my list...

You know the artist and the song, now check out the video. Smoothest dude to ever hold a microphone.

This last one is a bonus. This is a guy who is an incredible instrumentalist. I started listening to his music a few years ago. It's not one of those that "takes me back" when I hear it - as the others do - but still thought some of you might enjoy it. He's quite impressive.
